World Time Explorer is a program that can show local time for any place on earth. An interactive map that refreshes with a few mouse clicks shows each GMT offset with a distinct color. Zoom in and see the current time anywhere in the world! There is historic time information from 1850 till today. World Time Explorer (WTE) is shareware. A license costs US $15, which permits you to install it in 10 computers.
If you ever wondered which world time utility to trust (program or web site) consider that I am giving away a free license for any update to the timezone information of WTE, of timezone information from 1970 until the nearby future.

The above map represents the current time in the world, a snapshot made in WTE the 7.th. of June 2008 at 22:00 CDT which should be valid until 29.th. of August 2008 when Egypt leaves DST. Each color represents the same time for the locations with that color, but colors have been reused (see distribution of colors in Antarctica). There is a bigger map here.
Author of World Time Explorer is Jesper Nørgaard Welen since 1999.
