Time zone changes from version 2006m2 to 2006m3: Date : Saturday September 30, 2006 22:45 CDT File : 2006m3.txt * Nicaragua has finally issued a decree about when to leave DST, and it happens just in a few hours! However, the change to WTE data is just a single hour, it happens at 1:00 and not at 2:00 (which was a qualified guess). The precidency of Nicaragua has emitted a decree 63-2006 about end of DST as late as September 26, so it had gone unnoticed for a few days, until now. http://www.presidencia.gob.ni/buscador_gaceta/BD/DECRETOS/2006/ D-063-2006P-PRN-Cambio-Hora.pdf My informal translation runs: The natural sun time is restored in all the national territory, in that the time is returned one hour at 01:00 am of October 1 of 2006. Old End Rule : First Sunday of October 2006 at 2:00 New End Rule : First Sunday of October 2006 at 1:00 * Jordan has decided to prolong their DST period, to apply a similar DST end date as 2003 (24.Oct.) and 2004 (15.Oct.) http://www.petranews.gov.jo/nepras/2006/Sep/05/4000.htm: Amman, Sept. 5 (Petra)—Jordan will switch to winter time on Friday, October 27, according to the decision issued by the cabinet last June. Director of Planning and Media Spokesperson at the Energy Ministry Mahmoud Al Ais denied that the government intends to change date of switching to winter time due to the holy month of Ramadan. Old End Rule : Last Friday of September 2006 at 1:00 would have been Friday 29.th. of September 2006 at 1:00 New End Rule : Last Friday of October 2006 at 1:00 will be Friday 27.th. of October 2006 at 1:00 Thanks to Steffen Thorsen for this information. * Cuba has effectively been on GMT-4 since 4.th. of April 2004. Before that they used GMT-5 with US-like DST, but after that they decided to postpone each GMT change. Now the word goes in Cuba that they will not make DST changes either in 2006, so I'm putting them as GMT-4 permanently for 2006. They were set as starting DST 1.st. of January 2006 in WTE, and to stop DST Last Sunday of October 2006. Instead I put them on GMT-4 until further notice.
