There are 3 different ways to check for new time zone information and upgrade the time zones in WTE. Let's see all three:
I enter Options then click General then select the first box which says "Use Automatic Download... "
When I run the program, sometimes it shows a message that there are new time zone files. I just click "OK" when it asks me whether I want to download.
I click "Timezone Info" then "Download Time Zone Changes". WTE asks me if I want to download the latest time zone tables - I answer yes.
I click "Timezone Info" then "Download Time Zone Changes". WTE asks me if I want to download the latest time zone tables - then I answer no because I want to upgrade from the web page now that I know there are changes.
I load up the Download page and look for the "Upgrade" link. I click that and the file tztables.zip is downloaded to my hard disk. Now I double click that to unzip, and within Winzip I double click tztables.exe. I click "OK" on most screens, and the new time zone files are installed for me.
I want to call aunt Louise in Canada, and I know that she will be available from 7 to 22 (with some exceptions) while I will be available from 9 to 18. Will there be a mutual time?
From the Main Window I click "File" then "Time Calculator" then "Meeting Planner":
City 1 is already Kalgoorlie (my own city). I click on the box below "City 2" and up comes the "Search City" screen. I type in "sask" in the text box and click the "Search" button, it gives me a list of 4 cities from Saskatchewan, Canada. I select Saskatoon and click the "Select" button below. I correct my available time to be 9 to 18. Here is the screen:

I click "Generate Report" and get the following report:

I can see there is a star on my time 9-10, 10-11,11-12 and 12-13, they correspond to 18-22 in Saskatoon, so it seems calling from 9 to 11 in the morning is better, the last two hours will be pretty late for aunt Louise.
